Heh like you WP really scare me. I am shy of building wp sites.Bought dummy book on WP version 2.0 when they were current but didn’t get to read it.Now that book is outdated.Ha!
Really building sites seems a lot of work because of the many steps.Recently bought OP(James Dyson) hoping to cut down the many steps in building static niche websites. My business model is to build as many sites as possible across many niches as against building a authority site which will take time to establish a following. If there are any other plugin eg WP Twin which will help me cut down the time time to build a site give me a shout.
BTW which business model are you following.

I am getting OP next for another 2 sites I will be doing. I know many who use OP and it seems one of the best Themes for creating very quick and easy Squeeze Pages.

As for business models, I am continuing with the WordPress training Theme with this site. I am doing coaching on WP with another site I have yet to set up. I will have a products site which
I will use PPC and Google adwords, etc. Then a further site that’s being built now to take the training into other areas. I will also get a Facebook Page up to see if that makes any difference to
my conversions.
So it’s all go like you.

Hi Andy, Caitlin again.
I have just re-read the information you supply on the content of the 40 free videos and am as greedy as a kid in a lolly shop to get my hands on the whole bunch! I know I need to learn, and use skilfully, every single component of the lessons. The one component in which I am MOST interested at this point is the WP Mindmap.
Does this component show neophyte web designers/builders how to organise material so their websites meet ‘best practice’ standards of useability? I have SO much content I have researched/written over the past few years, I have no idea how to organise it.
I can’t ‘see’ what my site map should look like. I know if I organise my material badly, my visitors will not convert to subscribers as they will be ‘turned off’ by attempting to navigate a site which is confusing, therefore irritating. Once I’ve attracted them through performance SEO, it would be absolutely tragic to lose them in minutes or even seconds because they can’t find their way around. They would never come back and I’ve lost them forever. I would be SO upset if that happened, but my bank manager would be even more upset.
Please let me know if the vids contain a component which shows beginners how to set out a beautifully clean ‘tree’ of organised material to maximise our investments of energy, money and time.

Try to remember KISS. keep it Simple S…. especially at first, then develop as you learn and test. Don’t try to walk beffore
you can run. don’t spend hardly any money on this but the bare essentials. Until you know what you’re buying.

I ‘came across’ you last week as a very kind man who generously replied to a post I – well, posted – on a LinkedIn group to which we both belong. I asked whether there were any other website newbies in general and WP newbies in particular. I was SO pleased to see how generous site members were in replying from their different vantage points – absolute beginner (the category to which I belong), some experience (the majority of posters) and masters of the Universe (the category to which you clearly belong).
I clicked on your link to check out your website and was blown away by your offer of 40 ‘How to’ WP videos for free. I couldn’t believe anyone would be so generous as to research, collate/create and distribute such a wealth of information at no cost to the end-user. (However, I’m not a total Internet marketing dunce; I DO know creating a value-packed offer is the key to converting visitors to subscribers. I must say you have picked a beautiful offer to make that happen!).
I downloaded the offer and, as you said it would, it took quite some time. So after about an hour last night I went to bed as it was rather late and I was very tired. I got up this morning expectantly and eagerly looking for a new icon to have plonked itself on my computer screen or some other indicator that the download had been successful. Alas, I cannot see anything which makes me think I received safely the 40 videos.
What should I be seeing, Andy, to let me know I have received safely the vids? I’m super-keen to watch them and learn at your feet.

Hi Caitlin,
If you signed up for the video download then you will, or should have,
also received another email explaining that it’s best to download them with
something called DownThemAll. This is an addon to Firefox and you can get that
here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/downthemall/

Once downloaded this sticks like glue to your system and when you download
another file you will have the choice to use DTA or download normally. As mentioned
this is a Firefox addon so if you don’t have Firefox it’s no good.
Ok the reasons for lack of videos, Caitlin, may be that your anti virus is blocking it.
This will depend on which anti virus you have. God forbid you are using something
like Norton as that is infamous for slowing down systems and stopping things happening.
However, check that and switch it off while downloading the videos. Here is the videos
download page again:

Right click on the link above and Save As or Save Link to; then Save to Desktop.
Always right click on downloads and Save to Desktop, otherwise, like you have found,
they disappear. They will be in you downloads file but not easily found.
So just try again, and use DownThemAll if you have Firefox. If you don’t then use the
right click and watch them download. Even without DTA it shouldn’t take longer than
30 odd minutes.
